Capacity Building

The aim of the organization in the next five years is to strengthen relevant government departments especially their child protection system components for designing and implementing street-connected children-specific and improved interventions in line with international service standards and ethical guidelines. In addition to that, the Azad Foundation will work towards the development and implementation of Provincial Plans of Action for street-connected children that will also help establish public/private partnerships along with specific and enhanced joint monitoring and reporting to ascertain provincial and local government progress and promote learning from best practices. Another aim of AF’s advocacy efforts will be lobbying with parliamentarians and local body representatives to set up their groups at provincial and local levels to advocate for street-connected children within the government.

One of the goals for the involvement of local-level government is to make efforts to promote and achieve children’s rights at the local level through local governments, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders for sustainable interventions. Azad Foundation will also support these groups through capacity building and technical facilitation.
